Tiki Folder Card

I tried a new technique today, not sure what it's called, but I have seen it many times and finally decided to try it!

I first ink blended a piece of white card stock with some bright colors, making them rather dark, and not worrying if they looked smooth or were blended well.  I then used the 3D folder from this month's Spellbinders Club with the inked side face down.

After removing the card stock from the folder the side with the color was the debossed side, so I used a black ink pad and swiped over it.  This left the impressions with the color and the raised areas covered with black.

I used the stamp and die set also from this month's Spellbinders Club, and added a few matching flowers to play along with the Tic Tac Toe Challenge #295. (top row: floral, dry embossing, summer)

I would  also like to join in the following challenges:

Art Nudge - used the colors from the inspiration photo and the followed the beach theme
A Cut Above - anything goes with a die cut

  2. What an awesome card! Love that Tiki folder background and the colors you added. Great that you tried a new technique. I've been wanting to do this one also, but haven't gotten around to it yet. Love that sign post die cut too. Thanks for sharing with the June Challenge at A Cut Above. Happy to have you play along.
